Hit ‘Em With the Flex: Five Dallas Fitness Events You Should Do in April

Spring is the perfect time to start getting summertime fine! Accelerate the transition into your beach body by integrating these five fitness events in between your workouts this month!


1. Handstand Evolved 1.0

Enhance your handstand skills by strengthening your hand strength, wrist and shoulder mobility, and core control! Instructors Brian Johnson and Carter Twitty will teach specific exercises to up your handstand longevity in this creative and fun fitness workshop!

When: Saturday, April 4 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

2. Girl’s Night Out Cardio Fitness Workshop

This ones for the girls! Enjoy a Monday night about with your best girlfriends in this high-energy cardio and strength class that targets the core and booty. Get ready to laugh with instructors Wendi Medling and Jennifer Cowley as they lead you through fun, flirty dance moves over electrifying music!

3. The Freedom of Forgiveness: The Practice of Compassion

Focus your mind, body and soul with Dr. Melody Moore, Ph.D, who guides this class with focus on as much of the mind as the body. You’ll learn methods on creating space and a new perspective on- and off-the-mat during this vinyasa flow yoga class!

When: Saturday, April 11 from 1 to 3 p.m.

4. The Goat Run

Running with goats? Who do we think we are, Fort Worth? Following this event’s 5k and 10k run is a bonus race between the top ten fundraising teams, along with a herd of billy goats running alongside them! The fun continues with bounce houses and photos booths set up for photo ops with Dallas’ furry friends! Teams are strongly encouraged to go all out by arriving in creative costumes!

5. Walk MS 

Organized fitness is always better when it’s benefiting a good cause. Walk in support of the more than 2.3 million people living with multiple sclerosis! Your donated funds fuel the National MS Society’s mission to stop disease progression, restore function, and end MS.
