Where does Cheddar cheese actually come from? What’s exactly in Gouda? Get answers to all of these cheesy questions and taste the results! Scardello will be pairing these great cheeses with craft beers from around the world. Cost for the class is $40 and you can reserve your spot online. From ‘mom & pop’ brands to industry leaders, ZestFest provides an opportunity for companies to put their wares in front of not only the consumer, but also those in the industry, including retail buyers and restaurants. As one of the largest events in the country that showcases the zestiest products on the market, ZestFest offers a wide range of entertainment throughout the three-day event, coupled with a plethora of zesty products available for sampling. Attendees will experience celebrity cooking demos from chefs such as Jon Bonnell and Grady Spears, Wingstop’s Atomic wing-eating contest, and a jalapeño-eating contest. The fun starts at 1 pm on Friday and 10 am Saturday and Sunday. Tickets range from $11 to $14 and you can buy them online, or pay a buck more at the door.

Enjoy having a designated driver as you venture to three local breweries – Cobra, Four Corners and Community – to sample several beers and learn how they are made. Between stops, guides educate you on the North Texas craft beer scene and answer questions. At some of your brewery stops, you’ll find Dallas’ top food trucks lined up for you to purchase some grub (not included in ticket price). Your $60 ticket gets you a seat on the bus, complimentary beer samples at each brewery, a snack from the culinary wizards at Luck and a commemorative snifter-style Brew Bus glass. Get to 1530 Inspiration Dr. no later than 11:15 am.
Nothing says gluttonous more than a race toward donuts! There are two options: a 5k and a 1-mile fun run; regardless of which race you choose, you will be rewarded with doughnut hole stops along the course. This year the Hypnotic Donut Dash is teaming up with Carry The Load, which provides an interactive way for Americans to remember, honor and celebrate Memorial Day. You can register online and cost is $35 for the 5k ($25 for kids under 12) or $25 for the 1-mile fun run.
Celebrate Community Beer Company‘s two-year anniversary with 30 beers, 11 stations, food trucks, photo booth and more. Premier tickets are sold out, but $30 general admission tickets are still up for grabs and include commemorative glass, entry from 1:30-6 pm and drink card good for eight 6-ounce pours. You can also buy commemorative T-shirts.
